Sports and Performance
Whether you are stepping up to the line for your next race or onto the stage for your audition or presentation, feeling unprepared or getting distracted by the physiological symptoms that were once meant to keep us alive in crisis life or death situations are simply not helpful. You likely signed up for this performance, whether it be for a job, your favorite athletic pursuit or expressive passion. However, managing these overwhelmed feelings may be key for you to enjoy your pursuits and feel more successful.
As an elite athlete myself, I know how much the mental game can affect your performance. You want it bad enough you are searching for answers. Instead of wasting another month, reach out and let’s get started.
Sports and performance concerns can be served through either insurance with billable counseling services or self pay coaching services. Fees for counseling services are posted under the rates and fees section. Coaching services fees are set at $85 per hourly session.
Which should you choose? Counseling or Coaching?
Counseling sessions include a full diagnostic assessment in which I will complete a biopsychosocial assessment. A mental health diagnosis will be given and discussed that will also indicate medical necessity to bill insurance. As a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor in Minnesota and a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor in North Carolina, I can only see individuals for counseling services who reside in these states.
Coaching is a service that cannot be billed through insurance, nor will it include a full mental health assessment or any diagnosis. This is more of a mentorship or guidance based service that is goal-oriented to help support strengths and identify barriers versus following therapeutic intervention and modality. Whilst coaching does not hold the same legal confidentiality privledges, I will still maintain privacy and respect our work together. I am able to see individuals both nationwide and worldwide.
